I got a 690 today, not the score I wanted (wanted 700 at least becuase I scored a 710 and 730 on GMAT prep this week), but it's good enough to never have to take the GMAT again 
. I was just curious on a few things.
Is a 690 and 3.6 GPA good enough to apply to top 10 schools and have a decent chance to get in?
Also, I have an odd story of only completing my freshman year of high school, do you think that'll look good on the my application if I explain my progress from a drop out to college graduate from a mediocre school to tier 1 applicant?
Lastly, thanks once again, I couldn't have self prepped without this forum. I seriously went from a 440-730 for practice testing. The bad score was mostly SC and Math that I just didn't know; I was missing basic fundamentals that I missed in high school, but all in all I couldn't have done it without the wealth of information on this forum, thanks.
If anyone has any questions on how I prepped, let me know.

Hi Bradrs, congrats on your score. Most schools will only care about your college, your college academics, and what you did after college. However, if you feel compelled to talk about your high school career to college graduate, I'd highly advise you to do it in one of the essay prompts, when possible. I wouldn't really talk about it anywhere unless there's an optional essay that asks you to discuss anything else that you'd like to discuss. Given these circumstances, sure, feel free to talk about it, but be sure not to sound too arrogant, as these "personal achievements" may come off the wrong way. Having said that, a 690 and a 3.6 should definitely put you in the runnings. Of course, you know that there are way more things that AdComs look at other than numbers, though numbers are relatively important. If your 690 was fairly balanced, I'd say that you have a shot. If your verbal was 99 percentile and your quant was significantly lower than 80 percentile, I'd say that there may be some concerns. Again, if it were balanced, combine that with a 3.6, a great written application, and great letter of recommendations, I'd say you have a shot.
