Kindly Evaluate My Profile

Question

I have plans to take GMAT and complete my MBA. Before that I would like to analyze where do I stand?

My Qualification - (I have done my complete education in India.) 
10th - 74% (MP Board)
12th - 74% (MP Board)
B.Sc (Graduate in Science) - 65% 
Master of Computer Application - 74% (VTU, Bangalore)
I do not know how to calculate the GPA? There are varieties of opinion available on Internet.

Experience - 
5.5 Years of IT experience which includes 2.5 years of USA experience (I do not know weather USA experience matters or not?), currently working in one of the renowned Indian IT company on Technical Lead role (Leading the 4-10 members team). I have an experience of IT projects in Retail, Manufacturing and Health Science Domain (Wal-Mart, HP, Biogen IDEC Inc. etc).

My GMAT target is 700+. 
What could be my target B-Schools? I am considering the IIM's (Ahemdabad/Calcutta/Bangalore/Indore/Lukhnow) for 1 year full time executive course as well.

Your opinion would be great guidance for me.

I do not mind working in India or abroad, the ultimate goal is to learn the management/leadership skills and jump onto the positions which gives me the opportunity to lead the group of people/organization/geo.

I personally don't think an EMBA will suit you the right purpose that you're looking at this point in your life. I suggest you look into a full-time MBA program. Given your goal (which is a bit broad, will need to refine when you do apply), any business school would do you good. For the states, look into the top 10-25 range in terms of ranking.

Thanks for your advice, it matters a lot for me.
I am a family person and try to short the commitment for program. That is the reason I am looking for 1 year executive courses. It will be tough decision to go for two year course with good amount of investment. Kindly suggest seeing the current market/risk factors. Suggest me the top colleges for full time executive courses. Opinion about the IIM's with my profile india would be great help.

I know simply way too little about EMBAs to give any suggestion. My rule of thumb for EMBA has always been that if your numbers (i.e. GMAT, grades, work experience) are all around the average that's posted, you should be fine as long as you put in a strong application. Ultimately, you really have to ask yourself - why do you want this MBA? what will this additional degree do for you? My reasoning to steer you to MBA rather than EMBA is simple - most of your classmates are going to be in their mid-30's, who already had experience in management, and who are simply using this EMBA to get a higher title, higher pay, or simply self-fulfillment. Judging from your # of years of WE, you're probably around 27 or 28, which is quite younger than your colleagues in EMBA if you were to go. At any rate, really understand why you want this MBA and what you think it can do for you. I think that's a good start. While I understand that family is extremely important, I don't think you should sacrifice the chance of what an MBA can give you with what an EMBA can give you.
