Hi,
I’ve recently started on my path to B-School and was hoping to get some insight from the more experienced members of the forum.
Profile:27/Male/Caucasian/Washington DC (American)
Academics:680-720 on practice GMATs (hopefully I can go a bit higher with some study)
Undergrad GPA 3.56 in Politics (Brandeis/Harvard), Masters in Economics with Merit from LSE
Experience: 4 years as a diplomat at the U.S. State Department (matriculating with 5 years experience) -- received various awards, commendations; traveled to 30+ countries; learned French
Volunteer for a local non-profit
Goal:Career change from international diplomacy to international business.
Target Schools:Columbia
NYU
Dartmouth
Chicago
Key questions:How much does my age matter? I’m thinking of applying this year (matriculating at 28) or next year (matriculating at 29).
Do B-schools care about graduate education? How should I explain why I want to pursue another degree?
What are the best US-based B-schools for international business?
THANK YOU!
