Undergraduate: BBA from average state school 3.7 GPA
Interned at a branch of a large brokerage company
Have finished level 1 of CFA qualification and am prepping for level 2 (June 2012)
GMAT Score : 710 (QA 47; VA 40)
AWA : 6.0
Current Work Experience:
Investment analyst at an independent research company for 2 years
Previous Work Experience:
Data analyst at same research company as above for 2 years. Worked my way out of IT and into the Research side.
Extra-curricular activities
Nothing important to speak of, advice here would be appreciated
College Achievements
Got a full merit scholarship to my university and was a member of the schools Honor college. Was Vice president of Finance club and organized some guest speakers for our finance classes.
Planning to apply for Fall 2013 (perhaps Fall 2014 if I need to improve my extracurriculars...)
I want to apply to Sloan,Haas,Stern,Columbia, and Chicago.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Looks like a solid foundation to me. If you're set on going to a MBA program this cycle, you might want to open up the deck with some schools that are a little easier to get into than Haas and Sloan. 
Assuming you want to stay with finance, Cornell would be a great addition. Wharton would be a solid addition here I think over Haas or Sloan.
In Sandy speak, I'm not sensing much stardust here. You might play up how difficult it was to transition from IT to Research, and what your significant impact was, because that your only star card from what I can see. But again, looks really solid, you should have a chance to be in the mix.

Good back-ground. You have a strong story if your goal is to stay in Finance. GMAT is in the ball-park, so no worries.
However, I would strongly suggest that you work on extra-curricular activities – be a financial advisor to non-profits, better still if you hold a CFO position and do something remarkable to a budding non-profit.
You should apply to Wharton too. I’m a student at Haas, so feel free to reach out if you need help.
