2016 MACC Applicant. I need advice!
I slacked off badly during my 2nd year of college. I got 2 F's, with one of them being in Accounting 1. I later retook it and received an A. However, my cumulative GPA is still at 3.09 with several C's sprinkled in my first 3 years. So here's my basic profile:
Cumulative GPA: 3.09
GMAT: 690
School: University of Georgia
Major: Finance
Major GPA: 3.42
Work Exp: I work as a tax consultant (4 months)
My main question is, even if I complete six accounting pre-reqs (intermediate 1, 2, Audit, Tax, Cost Accounting, etc)...will the F's on my transcript keep me out of virtually all highly respectable MACC programs (top 50). I'm looking to apply to: Georgia State, South Carolina, Arizona State, Arizona, UT-Dallas, Clemson, UF, U of Denver, FSU, UNCC.
Do i have a chance with my transcript being the way it is?
