MazeRun,
It is important to understand what top schools mean when they say they evaluate a Client profile "Wholistically". Roles in finance are definitely
helpful, but with a GOOD reason for the WHY MiF that is both ambitious and FEASIBLE (both for potential employers, and therefore the school), and a compelling application (including a killer resume, a convincing bridge that answers the question of the MiF: WHY & WHY NOW, and stellar LORs) you should be in good shape.

Hope that helps.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for somefeedback on my chances for top Master in Finance programs.
My profile:
Law bachelor's degree from iran
GPA: 17.5/20 (around 3.5/4.0)
GMAT:685
IELTS:7.5
Working at a law office since graduation(about 2 years)
-No academic or professional background in finance or other quantitative fields
I'm targeting universities in the UK, France, the Netherlands, and Canada.
Most of the universities mention that MiF applicants must have a quantitative background. In practice, how much can a strong GMAT offset that requirement?
Do you think someone with my profile has a realistic chance at good(maybe better than good?) MiF programs? Any university recommendations would also be appreciated.
Thanks!
