I need advice on a few issues.
Profile:
Current Age - 23
Age when I will apply - 28
Master of Computer Science (3.8/4.0) from a very good school in USA
BE Computer Science (8.65/10.0) from a school consistently ranked in TOP-10 in India.
Extra-Curricular:
Organized various events in grad-school as a secretary of the computer science department.
Work-Ex:
6 months internship at SAP business Objects (global leader in business intelligence)
I am very much interested in pursuing MBA at STERN. The reasons for choosing STERN are:
1)I want to pursue Management of Technology and Operations and Data, Models and Decisions specializations.
2) It is the b-school with finest granularity in terms of electives and specializations.
3) I am very interested in Information Management in general and Business Intelligence in particular.
4) I have taken courses in Accounting, Finance and Statistics while pursuing my masters.
Questions
1) What are the areas I should work on, before I apply ?
2) Is Stern, the right choice ? Should I consider other better schools ? I am also considering Mccombs MBA in Information Management.
3) What other advice would you give me ?

Thanks for the reply. I want to make it clear that I am pursuing MBA only to advance my career. Information management requires good technical as well as business understanding. With my technical experience and degrees, my job growth will be limited. Typical positions like Business Intelligence Architect require strong business as well as technical understanding. So my goals are clear.
Now, tell me how should I prepare my self in the coming 4 years so that I can land up in a top b-school.
