I have been in chip design/ASIC/VLSI industry for about decade and a half. I have mostly been on technical side of the role. I am currently working in USA on H-1B VISA (8th year now), and are paid as per industry standards.
I plan to take GMAT, later this year, and apply for PGPX program in IIMA (India). I want to apply to IIMA, mainly because I want to move to India, to be closer to my parents.
Post MBA, I want to enter into technical management role at one of the big names (i.e. MS, Google, Amazon, or Intel) in India. Given that I have been in chip design for so long, and not much experience in management, how likely I am to get into IIMA and land a job at one of those big names? Do IIMA-PGPX grads end up at those tech names? Also, potentially what other schools I can look into?
