IN Q3, it speaks of resistance, but nowhere in the passage it is hinted about employees being resistance to give their input, the passage speaks only about thier input not being considered right? what am i missing here?

The question is asking for an analogous situation. It is reasonable to assume that if employees' input isn't considered, those employees might also be resistant to provide input.

For Question #2 - C) The transformation of NUMMI highlights the benefits of a lean manufacturing approach and the importance of employee involvement in quality control.

Does the passage touch on the benefits of a lean manufacturing approach? It seems the benefits that the factory has reached were more in terms of the culture - are those related to lead manufacturing which tends to be focused on the Supply Chain and reducing waste. I did not feel the passage touched on those 😇

Agreed- a line in the passage has been modified to better support this idea.

Quote:
Workers noted Toyota's manufacturing philosphy with a focus on quality and waste reduction, inspiring a shift in their work ethic.

Unable to understand why option d in q3 is incorrect. "Prior to reopening, Toyota sent many NUMMI workers to its Takaoka plant in Japan, where they worked on the assembly line and learned the Toyota Production System." As per this the workers were sent for training and post which they started giving ideas and inputs. This is exactly what is captured in option D fully. In addition to the inputs part, option D also captures the traning part which is missing in option C. Bunuel can you pls help here

3. The passage describes how Toyota’s focus on teamwork led previously disengaged workers to actively contribute ideas. Which of the following is most analogous to this change in behavior?

The passage shows that Toyota changed the plant culture from conflict and top-down control to teamwork and shared responsibility. As a result, workers who had been disengaged began actively offering ideas to improve the workplace.

(A) A retail company implements team-based performance reviews, leading employees who had previously worked independently to collaborate and suggest improvements in customer service.

This is somewhat similar because employees begin collaborating and suggesting improvements. But the trigger here is performance reviews, which is not the closest match to the passage’s emphasis on collaborative culture and shared decision-making.

(B) A tech startup increases salaries for all employees, leading to improved retention and higher individual productivity.

This is not analogous. The change here comes mainly from higher pay, not from teamwork or a shift toward employee input.

(C) A hospital introduces collaborative decision-making, and nurses who were once resistant now suggest ways to improve patient care.

This is the best match. It closely parallels the passage: a more collaborative system changes previously resistant workers into people who contribute improvement ideas.

(D) A financial services firm provides specialized training programs, leading to increased innovation and new ideas from employees in different departments.

This matches the training part somewhat, but it misses the central idea of teamwork changing worker behavior.

(E) A manufacturing company switches to flexible work hours, resulting in workers taking more personal responsibility for completing tasks on time.

This is not close enough. Flexible hours do not parallel the shift toward teamwork and employee suggestions.
