Neither.. nor.. takes subject closest
Here closest subject is Manager so anticipates is right usage

Bw D and E
will have taken is passive in nature and making sentence wordy

Whereas E solves this error with intended meaning

pls help. why d is wrong.
will have done is used to show an action which is finished before a time in future or present.
by noun/by next monday, he will have done the job.

is this the reason why d is wrong?

I can try to solve your doubt

If you take usage in D it appears that the same thing has been accomplished.yes you are correct about usage of future perfect here.

However in E ,it simply states the thing will take this much time. Which is intended meaning of sentence

Give kudos if it helps
