OFFICIAL EXPLANATION
The more objective evidence a judge is presented with, the easier it is for that judge to decide if the suspect is guilty.
(A) the easier it is for that judge to decide if the suspect is guilty
In the GMAT, the word if should be used in Conditionals only. Since in this question there is no condition, if should be replaced by whether.
Think of whether as a choice between two possibilities dealing with the same subject or as a yes/no question.
Example:
I do not know whether this will work. (yes or no)
He was not sure whether he wanted banana or chocolate cake. (a choice between 2 possibilities)
(B) it is easier for that judge to decide whether the suspect is guilty
Although this answer choice correctly uses whether instead of if, it is grammatically incorrect. This question uses a Double Comparative. The second part of a Double Comparative must begin with the word the. In this answer choice, however, it begins with the word it.
(C) the easier it is for that judge to decide whether the suspect is guilty
