No less remarkable than the invention of nuclear power has been the way the technology has prompted governments to reevaluate the nature of international relations.
Meaning: The fact that the technology has prompted governments to reevaluate the nature of international relations has been no less remarkable than the invention of nuclear power

No less means equally or more

A) No less remarkable than the invention of nuclear power
Ok, not the best of construction, but no errors

B) What was as remarkable as the invention of nuclear power
Meaning changed.

C) Inventing nuclear power has been none the less remarkable than
With less we must use "than" + Meaning changed

D) The invention of nuclear power has been no less remarkable as
With less we must use "than" + Meaning changed

E) As remarkable as inventing nuclear power
Grammar is fine, but meaning changed

I choose (A)

In C " less is used with "Than". How the meaning is changed?

GMATNinja please provide a solution to this question.

I am not GMATninja, but I'll do my best!

Quote:
No less remarkable than the invention of nuclear power has been the way the technology has prompted governments to reevaluate the nature of international relations.

A) No less remarkable than the invention of nuclear power

B) What was as remarkable as the invention of nuclear power

C) Inventing nuclear power has been none the less remarkable than

D) The invention of nuclear power has been no less remarkable as

E) As remarkable as inventing nuclear power

So this is kind of a funky structure, but I get that the author is comparing 'the invention of nuclear power' to 'the way technology has prompted governments [to do stuff].

B has some tense issues... "What WAS as remarkable...HAS BEEN" this conflates the past and the present-perfect in a way that is nonsensical.

C Compares INVENTING nuclear power to "the way tech has prompted governments." 'Inventing' is a gerund, it is a noun for the actual act. It does not compare well with 'a way' tech has done something. Further, C uses 'none the less' remarkable. "None the less" is an idiom that has a different meaning. It's used to mean something like, "Even though [something said before] is true." As in "He was not very tall. Nonetheless, he excelled at basketball."

D uses a bad comparison "No less remarkable AS" instead of "no less remarkable THAN."

E. Has a similar comparison issue that C does. Comparing 'inventing' nuclear power (an action) with 'the way tech has done something.'

Answer must be A.
