The Right answer is C as we never use singular verb with the subjunctives, in this case the word "Requires" Makes it subjunctive , open for comments.

SEC regulations require that a public company disclose to their potential investors any legal, technological, or financial complications that could endanger their investments.

A. a public company disclose to their---a public company is singular and disclose is plural verb mismatch in SVA

B. a public company discloses to its--- everything seems fine- subject match the verb in numbers and its also correctly represent the company

C. a public company disclose to its---same as A

D. public companies disclose to its---'its' doesn't have singular antecedent

E. public companies have disclosed to their---'have disclosed' is in the wrong tense

ElninoEffect pinakin2456

As stated by 071999 correct answer in C

because the verb "require " takes subjunctive form ,and in subjunctive form usage of plural verb is required irrespective of noun.

reasoning for others option (A,D &E) are correct & can be eliminated on similar thought wherever applicable

hope it helps :)

A. a public company disclose to their

B. a public company discloses to its

C. a public company disclose to its

D. public companies disclose to its

E. public companies have disclosed to their

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION

ANSWER: C

The subject and possessive pronoun of the underlined clause should agree in number, so A and D are out. B is incorrect because the construction “require that a public company disclose” must be in the subjunctive voice, and therefore must be “disclose” instead of “discloses.” In E, it does not make sense here to use the past tense when talking about “potential investors.” C is the clearest and most standard statement.
