In option B: Is the usage of "..... snowed, which was in February......". The which refers the snow. Is that correct?
Also, is the sentence structure of option B correct.

Here are the reasons why I feel that option B is correct:
1. We are trying to recall the last time his/her dad hit a tree. So, "last" seems a better choice than "previous" because it pinpoints the exact period. It makes the meaning clear.
2. Furthermore, the clause "which was in February" is placed between commas and this detail is not necessary.

1. Here are THAT and WHICH both appropriate?

2. In the last part, "he hit a tree" means dad hit a tree which is absurd, so it should be "it hit a tree" to refer to the car. So, C should be the correct answer. Where am I going wrong?

A -- usage of "he" is inappropriate and conveys an incorrect meaning
B -- CORRECT
C -- usage of "which" is more appropriate compared to "that" since the modifier is non-essential
D -- unnecessarily uses "had"
E -- same as errors in A and C.

2nd portion of the sentence states that "my dad had lost control of his car and it hit a tree", it pronoun is referred to car.
Please help me to understand.

Why can't we eliminate option B, based on the fact that the 'which' is not modifying the closest noun?
