The GMAT club grammar book says it should be "fastly" whereas I thaught fastly is not a correct adverb.

As per my understanding, the correct usage is 'fast'.. fastly becomes an adverb and not required here

I was going through the GMATCLUB Grammar book when this piqued my interest. just thought of sharing what I found about the usage of "fast".

There is no need for "fastly" since "fast" is both an adjective and an adverb.
The adverb form of "fast" is irregular. Other examples of similar adverbs include "hard" and "good".
