E is the most logical to explain the discrepancy.
The stimulus talks about differnt kind of species at the same time.
E talk about a flock that excludes different kind of birds come to feed at the same time because are excluded by ONE species of birds

Going with (E) on this one. It is crucial to distinguish between number of SPECIES and the number of birds.
