'B' is wrong because the demand can decrease but the increase in prices may in fact yield to higher profit. say for example, the ban led to a 5% decrease in demand but the new cost led to a 150% rise in profit, then the policy will in fact benefit farmers in 'W' and the policy will be worth it.

Eventhough I answered D. I'd still like to know about why is option B wrong.
If the demand decreases , Prices Increase which will eventually strengthen the argument of price increase

With Option B, even if the demand has decreased it does not weaken the conclusion of the ban being a success. The difference between the profits and the increased prices could still hold the conclusion valid.

Country W has banned importation of oranges from Country V in order to protect Country W's orange growers. Since orange prices in Country W have risen since this ban was instituted, the ban is considered a success.

Which of the following, if true, would cast doubt on the conclusion above?

A) The demand for oranges in Country V has risen.
B) The demand for oranges in Country W has decreased.
C) A freeze in Country V damaged large portions of the orange crop.
D) The rise in Country W's orange prices will lead to a decline in sales of those oranges.
E) Orange growers no longer need to spend advertising money to convince consumers Country W produces superior oranges to Country V.

In conclusion it tell that the ban is sucess.
We have to show an evidance or something that back the conclusion.

A-Its Irrelavent
B-Same as A
C-Out of scope
D-good choice becasue it is telling that due to rise in country W's orange price will lead to a decline in sales of those oragnes (Its weaking)
E-its is out of scope + Extreme language
