This question is a typical question in LSAT test
The argument is like this:
ONLY Canadian films (C) are shown at the Lac Nichoutec Film Festival (L).
(This year) most of the films that won prizes at L also won prizes at International film festivals (I)
(A) This year, most of the Canadian films that were shown at international film festivals won prizes at the Lac Nichoutec Film Festival.
Incorrect. What about some C films that were shown at I festivals didn't participate L festival or those C films didn't won prizes at L festival?
(B) Most of the Canadian films produced this year were shown at the Lac Nichoutec Film Festival.
The argument is about only C films that are shown at L festival, not all C films produced this year.
(C) Some of the films that won prizes at international film festivals this year were Canadian films.
Correct. The argument indicated that there is at least one film that won a prize at I festival won a prize at L festival.
Hence, we could say that there are some of the films that won prizes at I festival won prizes at L festival, and those films were absolutely C films.
(D) This year, not every film that won a prize at the Lac Nichoutec Film Festival was also shown at an international film festival.
"most" also covers "all". "most" doesn't mean "not all"
(E) This year, at least one film that won a prize at an international film festival was not shown at the Lac Nichoutec Film Festival.
What about all films that won prizes at I festival were shown at L festival? This assume didn't contradict to any information of the argument.
