Here I go:

Let's understand the argument first.

Conclusion: The black moth in City X is a recent evolutionary development.
Premise 1: Originally moth were white but then mutants enjoyed some competitive survival advantage.
Premise 2: In City Y, since there isn't any factory, all moths are white.

I will pick 2nd boldface first because I know 2nd boldface isn't a conclusion and it is just supporting what is author talking about (Evolutionary Development). 
My first cycle which reject all answer choices that are talking wrong about 2nd Boldface.

A The first is the argument's main conclusion; the second suggests  an exception  to that conclusion. -->  2nd is rather supporting author's point. It is no where an exception.

B The first is evidence in support of the argument's main conclusion; the second is evidence in support of an  alternative, rejected  conclusion. -->  Conclusion is not rejected.

C The first is an interpretation of evidence offered in support of the main conclusion;  the second is other evidence offered in support of the main conclusion.  --> 2nd Boldface seems correct here
