We have to state the logic behind the weight gain, when ducklings are exposed to music.
A. This is not the concern of the argument. Low or high music doesn’t give us the reasoning behind the weight gain by ducklings.
B. Again, ducklings’ response to the type of music is compared here while we have to find the reasoning behind the weight gain by ducklings when exposed to music.
C. This is an appropriate logic for the weight gain by ducklings when exposed to music. Hence, C is the answer.
D. This statement is irrelevant to the question asked.
E. The argument didn’t mention female or male ducklings in specific. So, this statement also doesn’t solve the purpose.
