Correct me if I am wrong.
In the given question
"the women of the Asante people of Ghana participated in war as nurses or as providers of supplies, but only those who had not yet reached or who were past childbearing age did so."
I inferred the above as that the women of the Asante people of Ghana participated in war as nurses or as providers of supplies but those who are not yet reached were who were past childbearing age.

Per this I think we cannot infer C as author is mute on nurses or as providers of supplies whether dead or living.
Anyone kindly explain.

".......sometimes sacrificing their own lives" ---------> Few from group B must have died

C states the same. Some of those who worked as nurses or as providers of supplies  (Group B)  died in battle.

A- wrong as lament means sorrow . argument mention nothing about sorrow after death of anybody so OUT

D-nothing is given about special status so Out

E- irrelevant and also too extreme

So C is best choice

Can someone explain how "valiant act" in sentence 3 is same as 'dying' explained in sentence 2. As such I couldn't find any link here.
