Could someone please provide with an explanation to the answer?
The speaker says that one should eat well, thus implying that one should eat a proper diet. Hence we reject A. The speaker is not discussing about what should be eaten and what should not be eaten. He is simply trying to say that one should not think so much and just indulge. Hence we can not say that D is correct. Also he does say that we should eat well, thus we can not say that we must be carefree about eating. On the other hand the speaker is trying to tell that one should not be so bothered about what he is eating and one must eat well and indulge. Thus we can say that C is the best answer option.

Why is B incorrect?

I was stuck b/w B & C and ultimately chose B because I think it more closely resembles the above statement than C

Indulge yourself, eat well; after all, you will live only once.

Which of the following statements does the above paragraph give maximum support to?

A. People should not bother about eating a proper diet.
B. People should be carefree about eating.
C. People bother a lot about what they eat.
D. People do not eat well.
E. That one life is not enough for eating.

IMO

The question is asking for a conclusion/Main point and not something that can be included as part of the sentence to conclude that you will live only once .

C. is the best conclusion

IMO C is the best available option even though its not good enough. All other options don't support the argument.

After you read the statement given, what comes to your mind? The author is asking us to take care of ourselves by eating well because we only live once. (Don't wander your mind to anything else, its straight and simple eat healthy that's all)

A. People should not bother about eating a proper diet.
- Incorrect. This definitely doesn't support our statement. If people don't bother about eating a proper diet then how does that mean that they eat well?
B. People should be carefree about eating.
- Incorrect. Even this falls in the same bucket as A. People need to care about what they are eating, only then it would mean that they eat healthy.
C. People bother a lot about what they eat.
- Correct. I know this doesn't sound well but I feel this is the best option here. It would've been better if it was "People should bother a lot about what they eat", if it was reworded as mentioned then I'm sure everyone would have gone for this statement as answer. This statement implies that people bother about what they eat and that means they care about what they eat meaning they eat well.
D. People do not eat well.
- Incorrect. This is out of the park not even a little bit close.
E. That one life is not enough for eating.
- Incorrect. This one is funny  I hope nobody wants another life for eating.
