A) The proliferation of e-mail and the Internet has made buying and selling used merchandise much easier. Even if this is true, it does not impact the demand/supply of new computers in any way. Hence this cannot support the conclusion. Eliminate.

B) Since most students need a computer to perform only basic duties. used computers are usually just as useful as new ones. This helps us infer that the demand for new computers among one section, students, is unlikely to be high/er. This does not support the conclusion in any way. Eliminate.

C) Most students who sell their used computers are inclined to replace them with new computers. The demand for used computers has been increasing, leading to more and more seniors selling their used computers. This option states that more and more seniors would then go on to buy new computers. Hence, demand for new computers would also increase, potentially leading to an increase in price. Correct answer.

D) College seniors are more likely to wait until they secure employment before making any expensive purchases. This talks about potential delaying of new purchases by seniors and does not support the conclusion of price increase of new computers. Eliminate.

E) The majority of students who purchase new computers before entering college purchase another one before they graduate. Since this is already true, this does not indicate an increase in demand and does not support the conclusion. Eliminate.

Hope this helps.
