The Question is about world’s largest exporter of lettuce means what volume of lettuce is exported. But option D talks about domestic consumption. So Option D doesn't help to answer our question whether Mapple is the world’s largest exporter of lettuce or not.
So option B is correct.

Why would D be even considered as a right answer, when D speaks of domestic sales, yet the stem is discussing lettuce exports....
