I did some simple math to prove answer D correct, and eliminate between C, D, and E. If the proportion of Home Owners to Home Renters 15 yrs ago was 1:2 and after 15 years the proportion of Home Renters tripled but the proportion of Home Owners increased but at a lower rate than the Renters, so let's say Home Owners:Home Renters is now 2:6 then ONLY the proportion of Home Renters to Home Owners has increased from 2:1 (or 2/1=2) to 6:2 (6/2=3) so 3>2.
