I see what you're saying. This question is a hastily-rewritten version of this official q: Sales of telephones have increased dramatically over the last year. In : Critical Reasoning Practice Questions

In the original, the intent is made clearer. The manufacturer wants to increase production in order to take advantage of an upward trend. So the argument isn't about whether production CAN be increased. It's about whether the increase is appropriate. Will the company actually be able to sell more units just because overall sales have gone up? From that perspective, E (in both the original and this rewrite) makes a lot more sense. If the company is not actually part of the upward trend, then there's not much reason to ramp up capacity.

I hope that helps!

In my opinion, the CEOs plan is to increase production of digicam products. So we need to find something that says 'Production capacity wont increase'.

The OA answers for the fact that sale of digicam product may not increase.

I feel the the solution answers for something completely different from what question asks.

I feel this question is poorly drafted.
