1 doubt here - I was against A bcoz. as a transportation rental company, if having the charging station nearby to the store is a 90% dependency, then cost of maintenance & repairs is an even more of a dependency (say ~ 95%), for the EVs to be financially viable right?

The reason I emphasize charging stations relatively less is that for an EV vehicle to run, it needs charging stations not only near the agency but also across the nation (or throughout the way of travel), right?

Please help me clarify this.

Thanks!

A car rental agency is considering whether to add electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet. The agency believes that adding EVs would be a financially viable decision, given the increasing demand for environmentally friendly transportation options.

To evaluate the agency's decision, which of the following would be most important to consider?

A. The availability of charging stations in the areas where the agency operates.
B. The cost of maintenance and repairs for EVs compared to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.
C. The average rental duration and distance traveled by customers who rent vehicles from the agency.
D. The overall market share of EVs in the car rental industry.
E. The average rental rates for EVs compared to traditional gasoline-powered vehicles.

May I ask where this question is from?

Also, with A, I feel as if customers from far away could come to purchase the vehicle, and that would be okay, as long as they have charging options in the area where they live, work, etc.

It is not a GMAT type question at all. Ignore. If "financial viability" to the agency is being considered, I would go with (B) considering that it is given that there is increasing demand for EV vehicles. I would say the demand side is something I can take for granted, if I must. (E) would be relevant too.
