Should be a simple one.

Option A says  if all the preparations are done perfectly, opera will perform flawlessly. This doesn't align because extensive
practice doesn't guarantee of a performance free from errors.

Option C has "very poorly"  in it which is too extreme. Never so specified in the passage.

Option D says  separate practice stage is merely a preliminary one. We do not have information about relative importance
of practice mode.

Option E is completely out of scope

Only option B states that if not prepared adequately, more errors are likely to take place which is true.

Correct option should be B

B. If it fails to prepare adequately, the National Opera is likely to make more mistakes.  logically follows that inadequate preparation would likely lead to more mistakes during the performance.   Correct

C. If the National Opera does not prepare seriously they are liable to perform very poorly.   suggests that lack of serious preparation may lead to poor performance, which is consistent with the emphasis on rigorous practice .  Irrelevant

D. It is more important for the different parts of the National Opera to practice together; the separate practice stage is merely a preliminary one.  This option gives an new idea that the separate practice stage, which is not mentioned in question -  Out of scope
