Which of the following can properly be inferred from the statement above?

A. Men's average salary is the same as that of women.

Premise B: average salary for women < Jane's salary
+
Premise C: Jane's salary < John's salary

To figure out this one, try to put all the information together:

John's salary = X
Men's average salary = M
Jane's salary = Y
Women's average salary = N

We are given:
M > X
Y > N

X > Y

We can write: M > X > Y > N

Clearly, (B) is the answer.
