What we are looking as answer is going to break our assumption that price is directly related to quality. Increased price can be because of any number of reasons. It can be due to quality, design, brand etc. There is no detailing given on why price is high.
A. fails to provide any actual prices of watches produced by Company A or Company B
Wrong: If prices are provided also, We won't be able to come to conclusion that what caused increase in quality
B. assumes that the quality of gold watches is, on average, higher than that of other types of watches
Wrong: Out of scope. A and B are in discussion, and JUST GOLD, No Silver watches
C. forms a general conclusion by including the products of only two companies
Wrong: No general conclusions made. We are making comparison between A and B

well IMO it should be D
as it rather than considering other merits or characteristics of gold watches ,directly correlates the cost to the quality.
