Ann: I don't know. Some of the students at State College come from North Hills High School
Ann's response shows that she has interpreted Mary's remark to mean that
A) most of the students from North Hills High School attend State College
B) none of the students at State College are from Midland High School
C) only students from Midland High School attend State College
D) Midland High School is a better school than North Hills High School
E) some Midland High School graduates do not attend college

Analysis of the argument
According to the argument, Mary talks about the graduates from Midland High School who go to State College. But Ann assumes the sample set to be different and understand the link the other way round. She assumes that Mary States that all the students from State College belong to Midland High School, and hence talks about how there are students from
Analysis of the answer options
A - This is not the argument structure. Also most cant be ascertained, because Ann talks about Some students from North Hills High School. That could be A few, many or most students. Hence, this option cant be concluded and it is incorrect.
B - This is incorrect. Ann, doesn't understand the meaning to be none of the students to be from Midland High School. Because, she assumes that Mary states all the students in the State college to be from Midland High School.
C - Correct. This is exactly in line with what we have mentioned above. This can be logically concluded based on our analysis of the argument.
D - Both Mary and Ann do not compare the two schools. Hence, the option is out of scope.
E - Again, both of them do not talk about the students who do not attend College. Hence, the same is also out of scope.
Hence, the correct answer is Option C.
