The problem with D is that it doesnt clarify whether the second teacher is not unfair.

This is basically C vs D only, rest all of the answer choices are easy to eliminate. C directly addresses the overlooked possibility in the interpretation of the statistic (92% might be low relative to deserved rate) while D introduces an external check that the original argument didn’t consider, but the flaw isn’t about “not checking with another teacher,” it’s about not considering the appropriate comparison (deserved vs. actual).
