For the number (quantity) of books on the shelf, it doesn't matter from where they are taken. There are 62 books and 6 go away. If we were asked about the new n ^{th}  place the atlas held from the left or right side or both, then which side they came from, and how many were taken, would matter.

I mean, 28+1+29 produces 58, which is apparently a wrong answer choice.
