Hi All,

This question can be solved by TESTing THE ANSWERS.

We're given 5 'scores': 15, 22, 38, 51 and 63. We're asked to take points from Keri (63) and give them to Luke (15), so that the MEDIAN INCREASES. We're asked for the integer number of points that would make that happen...

Since the highest and lowest scores are the only ones that are changing, it's likely that one of them will become the new median, so we should look for an answer that would make that happen.

We could raise the 15 to a 39 if we added 24 points to it, so let's TEST Answer B: 24 points...

The new list of numbers would then be...
(15+24), 22, 38, 51 and (63-24)

Putting those numbers in order, we would have...
22, 38, 39, 39 and 51

Thus, the Median HAS increased and we have the correct answer.

Final Answer:
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
