what is The range of the percent of fighters who are skilled in Muy Thai ?

Two types of martial arts are discussed: MT and JJ

60% of all are skilled in JJ. More than 30% are skilled in both. So less than 30% are skilled in ONLY JJ.

Since 60% are skilled in JJ, 40% are not skilled in JJ. 20% of these are skilled in MT i.e. 20/100 * 40 = 8
So the pink region above is 8.

We need the range of the complete MT circle. It will be more than 8 + 30 = 38. It can take a maximum value of 68 since the orange region can at most be 60 (if all 60 JJ skilled are skilled in MT too).
So answer is (C)

1. Say total number of fighters = 100

2. Total BJJ are 6% = 60

3. Remaining (which are not BJJ) = 100 - 60 = 40

4. More than 30% know BJJ & MT combined = > 30

5. 20% of Not BJJ know MT = 20/100 * 40 = 8

6. Total knowing MT = 38+

Answer = C

Let total = 100
60% are involved in B (B is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu styles of fighting)
so 40% of total (= 40) are not involved in B
20% of 40 are involved in M (M is Muy Thai) = 8
ANd the common area is more than 30.

So the least number of fighters who are skilled in M = 8 + 30 = 38
And max -> 8 + 60 = 68 (If all the fighters of B are fighters of M too)
Hence, range: 38 - 68.
