Tough and Tricky questions: Word Problems.
A computer retailer sells only TFT and LCD monitors. In the graph above, the x-axis represents the day of the week and the y-axis represents the number of monitors sold. On which day was the ratio of the number of LCD monitors sold to the total number of monitors sold the greatest?
A. Monday
B. Tuesday
C. Wednesday
D. Thursday
E. Friday

To calculate the share of LCD monitors in total monitor sales, we first need to determine the number of LCD sales. Note that the total number of display sales is directly shown in the graph, but the number of LCD display sales needs to be calculated as the difference of total monitors and TFT monitors.
We get the following values:
\(Mon: \frac{10}{18}, Tue: \frac{10}{22}, Wed: \frac{12}{24}, Thu: \frac{10}{26}, Fri: \frac{12}{26}\).
Now we can compare the figures and see that all values, except of Wednesday's number are smaller than \(\frac{1}{2}\). Answer C it is.
We get the following values:
