Each term = 4(previous term squared)
term1 = T
term2 = 4(T²) = 4T²
term3 = 4[(4T²)²] = 4(4²T⁴) = 4³T⁴
term4 = 4[(4³T⁴)²] = 4(4⁶T⁸) = 4⁷T⁸ = D

This question can also be solved by TESTing VALUES, although you have to be careful about doing the proper work on the pad.
Based on the description of the sequence, we can TEST any VALUE we want for the first term:
IF....
1st term = 1
2nd term = 4(1^2) = 4
3rd term = 4(4^2) = 4^3 = 64
4th term = 4(64^2) = 4(4^6) = 4^7
The prompt asks us for the 4th term, so we're looking for an answer that equals 4^7 when T=1. There's only one answer that matches...
