The question doesn't ask you to calculate 10!
It only asks you to find the highest power of prime number 2 in 10!
Easiest method to find that
10/2 = 5
5/2= 2 (don't account the remainder)
2/2 = 1

5+2+1 =8

Correct Option : D

If n is a positive integer and \(10!=25×7×81×2^n\), what is the value of n?

A. 2
B. 4
C. 5
D. 8
E. 10

Since n is a positive integer and rest of the TERMS in RHS -25×7×81- do not have 2, we have to find the number of 2s in 10!..
=>\([\frac{10}{2}] + [\frac{10}{2^2}] + [\frac{10}{2^3}]+...\) where [x] is the lower integer value of x ..
=>\(5 + 2 + 1 +0 = 8\)
D

Which formula did you use here?

If n is a positive integer and 10!=25×7×81×2^n what is the value of n?
so,the question asks to find the highest power of 2 which divides 10!
now,the highest power of 2 which divides 10!
= [10/2] + [5/2] + [2/2] + [1/2]
=5+2+1+0
=8
so,the value of n =8

correct answer D

Hi Bunuel

Wanted to understand what is the basis for the difficulty level represented in the additional statistics below each question?
I had put a filter of <600 while selecting the questions and currently the difficulty level for most questions that I am taking from this suite is being shown to be as low (5%-20%). Would such kind of questions come in the GMAT?

1. The difficulty level of a question is calculated automatically based on the timer stats from the users which attempted the question.
2. Yes, you can get easy questions on the test.
