Can you please explain the second last part.. how did you go from l*(2/35) = m * (-3/10) to the final answer?
KarishmaB
Bunuel
If (l − m)/(7 − 2) = l/7 − m/2, which of the following statements must be true?

A. l = m
B. l = −m
C. 2l = −7m
D. 3l = −19m
E. 4l = −21m

\(\frac{(l − m)}{(7 − 2)} = \frac{l}{7} − \frac{m}{2}\)

\(\frac{(l - m)}{5} = \frac{l}{5} - \frac{m}{5} = \frac{l}{7} - \frac{m}{2}\)

\(\frac{l}{5} - \frac{l}{7} = \frac{m}{5} - \frac{m}{2}\)

\(l*(\frac{2}{35}) = m*(\frac{-3}{10})\)

\(4l = -21m\)

Answer (E)
\(l*(\frac{2}{35}) = m*(\frac{-3}{10})\)

Cross-multiply to get"

\(20l = -105m\)

Divide by 5:

\(4l = -21m\)
