A.5/12
B.5/7
C.7/5
D.7/19

Let’s cross-multiply the given equation:

b/(a + b) = 7/12

\(\frac{b}{(a + b)} = \frac{7}{12}\)

Let, \(b = 7\)

Since, \(a + b = 12\)

We have , \(a + 7 = 12\)

Thus, \(a = 5\)

So, \(\frac{a}{b} = \frac{5}{7}\), Answer will be (B)
