If x and y are integers, and 4x + 5y = 19, which of the following could be the value of x?

A. 1

B. 2

C. 3

D. 4

E. 5

Use quick glance and try to predict -

\(4x + 5y = 4*1 + 5*3 = 19\)

Thus, x = 1 , answer must be (A)

Since x and y are integers, looking through the options, option A is the only answer for the value of x that would produce an integer value for y.

X=1, 4(1)+5y=19
5y=15
y=3
