Train A departs Rosedale heading for Tarrytown at 10 p.m. and train B departs Tarrytown at the same time headed to Rosedale on a parallel track. If train A travels at 80 miles per hour and train B travels at 85 miles per hour and the distance from Tarrytown to Rosedale is 660 miles, then how long will it take for the two trains to be at the same point between the towns?

Distance = Speed * time
Given speed of trains A,B as 80,85
Let x be the time they travel before they meet
80x + 85x = 660
165x = 660
x = 4(Option C)

Concept:
If two objects are traveling TOWARDS or AWAY from each other, then add the speeds. This becomes the relative speed.
Relative Speed = 85+80 = 165
Relative Distance = 660
Asking for Time when they cross each other (on parallel tracks), t = d/s
t = 660/165 = 4
p.s: I just also came to know that the if the prompt gives two separate distances as in distance traveled by object 1 and distance traveled by object 2 (with both those object traveling away/towards each other, then you could also add them together to produce relative distance.
