If the total number of km's driven by the helicopter was x.

85 + 5(x-1) = 365
5x - 5 = 365 - 85
5x - 5 = 280
5x = 285
x=57

The total number of km that the helicopter drives is 57(Option C)

let the km flown after 1st km be x
85+5x=365
5x=280
x=56
hence total km flown =57
C

Let the distance traveled by Helicopter in km= x

Total cost of trip= 365
85 +5(x-1) = 365
5x - 5 = 365 - 85
5x - 5 = 280
5x = 285
x=57
Therefore, total distance traveled by Helicopter= 57km

Answer: C.

For a trip of x miles, we pay $85 for the first kilometer and $5 for each of the remaining (x - 1) kilometers. We can create the following equation:

85 + 5(x - 1) = 365

5x - 5 = 280

5x = 285

x = 57

Answer: C
