In the above figure, if L1 is parallel to L2, what is the value of x in terms of a?

(A) 180 – a
(B) 180 + a
(C) 270 – a
(D) 360 + a
(E) 360 – a

I have a tendency not to disagree with questions but in this case I really can't figure out the exact position of "x". It can literally be anywhere on the plane.

Can you confirm?

I agree, the image could have been better. On the real test you won't get such images. Having said that, I think even here it's possible to get which angle is x.

If we draw L2 completely

x - 180 + a = 180
x = 360 - a
