Assume a number for the total number of books in the school library(100)
Since 60% of the books are cloth bound, the number is \(0.6*100 = 60\)
It is given that 30% of those books are fiction, (i.e) \(0.3*60 = 18\)
Therefore, the cloth-bound fiction books are \(\frac{18}{100}\)or 18%(Option D)

Let there be 100 books
So, 60 books are cloth bound books
Out of 60 books, 18 (ie 30% of 60) are works of fiction
So, 18% of books in the library are clothbound works of fiction, answer will be (D)
