Given, the length of fabric required for each curtain is 1.6 yards.
So, the length of fabric required to make 3 curtains is 3*1.6=4.8 yards
Since the fabric needed can be purchased only by the full yard, so 5 yards would be purchased. (4.8 is approximated to 5; the nearest full length)
Total cost of fabric for the 3 curtains= 5*8=$40

NOTE :
1. Fabric can be purchased only by full yard.
2. per yard is 0.8 $
3. We need fabric for 3 curtains
4. For each curtain we need 1.6 yards.
Total amount of yard = 1.6*3 = 4.8
But as per the rule 1 we have to buy full yard. So, we have to buy 5 yards.
Total cost = 5*8 = 40.
The best answer is A.
