= 49.5 percent of 11/23 of 0.996
= (49.5 / 100)*11/23*0.996
= 0.495*(11/23)*0.996

Given:
    • x is equal to 49.5 percent of 11/23 of 0.996

Approach and Working:

    • x= 49.5/100 % of( 11/23 * 0.996)
    • x= Approx 50% of 0.996*11/23
    • x= 0.498*11/23
      o 11/23 can be approximated as ½.
      o x= 0.498*1/2= 0.249

Hence, the correct answer is option A.

I didn't do any of this and approximated all the values to the basic. Don't know if this works generally but worked here.

x= 49.5/ 100 x 11/23 x 0.996

So, approximately:

x = 50/100 x 11/22 x 1
= 1/2 x 1/2 x 1
= 1/4 = 0.25

But, since because of our approximations taking all values a little bigger, x MUST be a little lesser than 25.
The only answer option that satisfies that is (A)
