In a certain ancient kingdom, the standard unit of measure was the “crown,” equal to 10 standard modern inches. An alternative unit of measure was the “scepter,” equal to 14 standard modern inches. If a tower measured 70 crowns tall, how many scepters tall was it?

(A) 35
(B) 49
(C) 50
(D) 75
(E) 98

Given:
1 Crown= 10 Inches
1 Scepter= 14 inches

Tower = 70 crowns
=(70*10) Inches
=\(\frac{(70*10)}{14}\) scepters
= 50 Scepters
Answer: C

While scrolling down to read the question, I caught a glimpse of tags, citing Manhattan Gmat as the source.
Given the image of Manhattan Gmat questions, I literally had to read the questions twice to make sure I am going the right way !!

Let crowns be represented by C, scepter by S, and Inches by I
1c = 10i
70c = 700i

1s = 14i
Therefore, 700i/14 = 50s
