Distance of a line formula can be used (which is just pythagorean formula really)

What is the area of the circular region with center O shown in the figure above?

(A) 100 Π
(B) 900 Π
(C) 1,600 Π
(D) 2,500 Π
(E) 4,900 Π

Distance from the center to the point is \(\sqrt{( 40 - 0 )^2 + ( 30 - 0 )^2} = 50\)

So, Area of the circle is \(50^2Π = 2,500 Π\) , thus Answer must be (D)
