Using Test It:
Let’s say X=2 and Y=3, équation becomes
2/3 + A = 6/2
A = 7/3
Let’s plug X and Y into the answers and see which one gives us 7/3
A) 8/3
B) negative, I stop
C) 14/6 ... 7/3, good answer
Rapid check for D and E to be sure but those are clearly wrong

Now
? + x/y = 2y/x
? = 2y/x - x/y
? =(y/y)2y/x - (x/x)x/y
? = 2y^2/xy - x^2/xy
? = (2y^2 - x^2)/xy
Ans is C
